Eleanor Selden Smith is a native of Central Pennsylvania and a Fine Arts graduate of Mary Baldwin College, Staunton Virginia. At Mary Baldwin, Smith was recognized as top artist, with one of her works purchased for the school's permanent collection. Immediately upon graduation, Smith was featured in the prestigious Art of the State. She shows regularly at the Second Floor Gallery in Mechanicsburg, PA and teaches art at the Art Association of Harrisburg.
Eleanor Smith is a gentle soul, and her art reflects her personality - emphasizing positive subjects; bright colors; and a bold, graphical sensibility.
Smith works in oil, pastel, ink, and the ancient beeswax painting method known as encaustic. She accepts commissions of both people and pets. |
